Little by little, there are small peeks and previews of what’s to come this fall and while the idea of wearing a sweater right now only gives me thoughts of a hot flash, I can’t deny my love for planning ahead for what is, undoubtedly, by far my favorite season of the year. Love me through it, guys, love me through it.
And – just because I know we all like a healthy balance, I’m including some “wear it now” pieces that are going to transition nicely. I mean, it’s practically August which is like, almost September….right? #imkidding #ipromise #desertheatisnojoke
Hello, Friday! Friends, I’m sorry things have been a little slow this week! My mom is here to help out and we’ve been doing everything we can to prep for baby…keep Ava entertained…and get all the blog sale items out the door! It’s been a little hectic and crazy but doesn’t it feel good to get things accomplished before the weekend?! Oh – and before the baby comes, that’s a big plus!
I know the Nordstrom sale has been going on for a little bit but if you weren’t a card holder – it was a little tough to shop, right?! I went ahead and waited until today to share my favorites and thankfully, a lot of items were restocked that did get snapped up in the pre-sale.
Here are a few of my favorites and, YES, fall is on my mind! How can it not be when I’m 39+ weeks pregnant and it’s 100+ degrees out. #heavenhelpme
** I’m sorry – I totally thought this was on sale – promise it’s the only piece in today’s post that is full price!
Hey, everyone! Sorry for the silence yesterday! I spent most of the weekend working on organizing the blog sale I had this weekend and didn’t leave much time for getting a post up on Monday morning. Totally worth it, though! If you haven’t hopped over to my new Instagram account : thenortheastgirlcloset, make sure to follow along! As I mentioned in the post, we’re anticipating an upcoming move and I have so much that I need to organize and move on out. I’m honestly hoping to get a few more Saturday’s over the coming month or two with sales as we work through the house and see what’s going to make the next move and what has to be purged. I guess it’s kind of a perk to this lifestyle when you really think about it. There’s really no opportunities to hoard – which is a good thing, I guess!
So for those that are waiting on items to ship, we have the USPS coming tomorrow to pick it all up and if you check through your paypal account, you should be able to track it all through priority mail shipping. Stay tuned, too, because I’m already going through more closets and hopefully I’ll have more to share again this coming Saturday.
On the baby front – we are finally in single digits, my friends! Nesting, excitement, anticipation, nerves…all the feelings. Ava is so excited to see this baby, she doesn’t even know what to do with herself. #metoo
Have a great Tuesday, all! Thanks for visiting!
Even though I gave this black maxi dress a slight upgrade with the accessories I brought out, I think this might be the most comfortable and casual dress I’ve worn this entire pregnancy. So much so, that I’m thinking I’ll be lounging around in this dress in the weeks after the baby comes, too. I should also mention that this dress is designed for nursing, which is so convenient, right? Who doesn’t love a little now and later when it comes to adding basic pieces in their wardrobe.
Like I said, this dress has endless possibilities when it comes to styling. Pregnant or not, a black maxi dress is just a blank slate and the sky is the limit with how you want to wear it. Dress it up, down, casual, boho, lounge…I mean, the list goes on.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
