Getting off to a late start this Monday morning because we were busy celebrating Ava’s birthday this past weekend and by the time we wrapped everything up last night, I couldn’t wait to get some sleep myself.
Today’s post is jam packed with so many of my favorite things. Grey, neutrals, cashmere, soft leather boots and a drop waist dress. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that combination pretty much sums me right up!
The dress is a stretchy, figure-flattering ponte knit (my favorite fabric!) that drapes so perfectly down to the hem. The sleeves and chest are definitely snug and fitted but I think it helps keep things in proportion. I absolutely love this dress so much, I also picked it up in black. Stay tuned because I’ll be sharing it soon in a dressier look that’s so perfect for the upcoming holidays! I kept this dress slightly more casual with a cashmere wrap and a pair of tall leather boots.
I thought long and hard about these boots because the price tag was super steep. With hardly any left in my size and because they’re label free (no logos!) on the outside, their the perfect neutral tan (not too dark or light) that will match anything and everything, and because the leather is so unbelievably soft and the boot is over-the-top in quality, I went ahead and made the investment. In the long run, I would rather buy ONE pair of basic boots and love them for 5+ years than buy a new pair of boots similar to this style every year. I’m going to treat them with an all weather protective spray and avoid any of the elements that might ruin the outside leather, like rain, snow, and such. I’m a tad crazy when it comes to boxing up my favorites and valuables if only to keep them looking fresh and new for as a long as possible but also to keep them protected for years to come.
Have a great Monday, everyone!

I love the scarf! It looks so cozy, especially for chilly fall mornings. Also, I’ve been obsessing with that Chloe bag for a while now! I’m very tempted to go ahead and buy it.
