A Tee Shirt Dress + Summer Denim Shorts

A week or so ago, I stopped into Gap to grab Ava the cutest pair of overalls during one of their 40% off sales and I fully intended on running in and right back out because I had Grace in tow. I rarely, if ever, try clothes on when I have G or A with me because they just get too restless and lately I’ve been exclusively grabbing things online.

On my way to register, I saw and grabbed this dress because it just caught my eye and was 40% off! I imagine, just like Vegas, I’m going to be living in dresses this spring and summer when it gets pretty hot and this little t-shirt, swingy number was all kinds of perfect for those conditions.

The weight of the cotton is moderately thick, which I actually really liked! I don’t think it will be too hot but it makes the dress hang nicely and it doesn’t feel cheap.

Well, after I got home and tried it on…I jumped online and ordered the black and navy one, too. For that price, and for the comfort and versatility, I knew I was going to wear the heck out of them now and in the months ahead.

Does anyone else love the simplicity of a dress when it’s hot out? One and done, right?!

I meant to share these cute denim shorts yesterday…so here they are! I’m not a big cutoff shorts gal much these days, however, these were so cute on the model (always, right?!) and after weeks of debating, I pulled the trigger.

I’m so glad I did! I’m comfortable with the length and I like how the frayed edges aren’t going to fall apart. Slightly longer in the backside and a nice, dark wash that will pair up nicely will all kinds of fun tops this summer. I grabbed the white during the Shopbop sale, too!
