Leopard Booties + A Sweater Dress

I love this time of year because with an abundance of holidays popping up between now and through the New Year, there is constantly a great sale running somewhere. When Shopbop had their two recent 30% off promotion running, I had to jump on a few of my top items that I’ve been so patiently watching and willing to go on sale. I, like most girls, love leopard print and knew that these booties needed to be in my life, asap. They are so perfect for fall and winter but I’m fairly certain I’ll be able to incorporate them in my wardrobe come spring and summer with both shorts and skirts as well.

I wore them for a little bit this weekend and found that they’re pretty comfortable with their mid-wedge heel and the black laces up the front to keep your foot in place. I paired them with my new favorite chunky knit cardigan because it was cozy enough to just toss on with my jeans and keep this look more on the casual side. I know we’ve chatted about this before but casual most certainly doesn’t have to mean drab and boring. I feel like the variety of material and textures I combined here keep this look anything but simple.

I sure hope your short week is zipping by quickly! Curt and I have a formal event to attend this weekend for his work and I really can’t wait for a fun night out with a few of our favorite friends. I’ll be sure to share an outfit post of the dress I borrowed from my girlfriend for the night. My husband is so proud of me for not splurging on a new dress for the party…and I am too! It’s so fun and sparkly…perfect for the holidays and perfect for night out in Vegas!

I’ve been on the lookout lately for some cute and versatile sweater dresses and I’m pretty sure I have my two top contenders down below. I love how the options are endless with as far as how dressy or casual you want to be that day when it comes to sweater dresses. This cable knit dress is perfection in so many ways as far as cut and color. All around “yes”! And, of course, what is more festive than a red dress for the holidays?! Pair this beauty with heels or tall boots and you’re instantly ready to go.
