I’ll be the first to admit that I completely feared the “boyfriend” shorts when they first came out. First off, they’re baggy and loose. While I’m sure there are some girls out there who prefer such a look, I’ve always been one who likes things a little more form fitting and complimenting to my shape.
When I first saw these shorts at Gap, I breezed right on by and didn’t think twice. The second time I was there, I decided that because they were offering so many cute colors, it wouldn’t hurt to try them on. Friends, these are WORTH a try on! While not everything works for everyone, if you’re searching for a comfortable yet cute pair of BF shorts, these are going to be your winner. The material is soft yet the shorts manage to maintain their shape. The cut is great and honestly, they looked exactly the way I would hope and expect a BF short should when made for women.
I wore a pair of these shorts to the park with Ava last week and I was super comfortable! I could run all over the place with her and not worry about having any wardrobe malfunctions. Does anyone else have a pair of these shorts yet? I’m going to try and style them a few different ways over the coming weeks to show you that these don’t have to be just for the park! I would definitely wear these with wedges which makes them just a little more fun and versatile!
Now, I have to leave you all with this… I know I’m all excited about sun safety and sunless tanner with you guys, so don’t pay any attention to my knees and ankles in this post! I promise it’s not a faux tanner mistake…it’s bruises from the CRUD tournament I played in this weekend. Yes, that’s right, bruises. On my knees and ankles. I wish those war wounds came with a trophy but the Thunder-crudders, as we like to call ourselves, came in a mighty 2nd place! I’ve been sore all weekend but it was worth a fun night!
