Well, Hello, November! Don’t lie – who has already pulled all their holiday storage boxes down and started decorating for all things December?! I’m not here to judge and in fact, I’m envious! If we were’t prepping for a big move, I can assure you I would be doing the exact.same.thing. If there is any time of year I love to drag out the final minutes, it would be right now. I love everything about November and December so I’m here to tell you, get your festive on! I shall live vicariously through you and all your beautiful decor.
If you saw on Instagram, I’m back in Las Vegas right now and I’m sure you can also tell by this all too familiar background. Love my little park. We have so many exciting events happening over the next two months and my hunt for beautiful cocktail dresses and things to wear out for date night’s with Curt has officially started. I absolutely love getting dressed up so bringing home a few new pieces here and there has been so much fun!
What is it about a little black dress? You’ve heard it before and I’ll say it again, but every girl should have that LBD just waiting in her closet and ready to go whenever the occasion calls for it. Trust me when I tell you that you can never, ever go wrong in a little black dress.
Subtle details are a beautiful way to make your pretty little dress stand out one of my favorite additions to any piece, especially a dress, is a touch of lace. So delicate, feminine, and classic with a side of romance. I adore the lace trim along the hem and across the top of this fit and flare dress. This dress is also a ponte knit, my favorite, that’s so comfortable to wear but that lace detail makes it cocktail and evening ready. The fun little drop waist skirt definitely calls for a little dancing, too, don’t you think? I love that this dress has short sleeves and if you look closely, you’ll also see the sweet scallop trim around the neck, sleeves, and hem. Beautiful!
I went with a classic quilted bag but I was so tempted to add a (swoon-worthy!) little print into the mix, too. I also left the jewelry at home because, honestly, I usually feel like a little bit of lace takes care of all the extra pieces we would usually add on to a little black dress! No accessories required when the added details are already on the dress.
Lace will always a “yes!” for me and especially around the holidays! I can’t wait to take this pretty little number out for the night with my husband by my side. What more could a girl need?!
