A Striped Tunic + Denim Leggings

And just like that, the holidays are officially over and we’re all back to work and school this week! Man, that went too fast, right?! Ava practically begged us to tuck her in bed last night in the hopes that she would get into her classroom faster on Monday morning. What I would give to be 5 years old right now! Me? I’m ready to retire! Ha – not quite, but making a living out of the comfort of my own home sure sounds dreamy these days. But, alas, my kiddos await and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to see all their sweet faces bright and early today! So, back to work I go!

I’m excited to share this adorable striped tunic I just picked up this past week. If there were ever a shirt that hid all the pumpkin pie, turkey, and copious amounts of mashed potatoes I consumed over the past month, this would be the one. It’s so swingy and drapes so nicely in such a forgiving way that I kind of wished I bought them all (there are FIVE!). I love the stretchy fabric and it’s just as soft as can be, too. We all know I love me some stripes and in an effort to spice things up a bit, I mixed my prints and wore my favorite leopard wedges.

I can’t remember the last night I didn’t automatically reach for my gold accessories and making sure my new favorite pearl necklace gets a lot of attention lately was pretty easy to do here. Love, love this necklace.

Oh, and my favorite leather tote? Always.

Before I head off to wrap up my school work for tomorrow, let me just say I’m so envious of all you readers out there enjoying snow right now! What I would give for a snow day!!! (Of course, having to make that day up when you should be on summer break…that I could live without!) Either way, enjoy, enjoy! Build a snowman for Ava while you’re out there!

Striped Tunic / Denim Leggings (on sale!) / Leopard Wedges / Pearl Necklace / Tote Bag / Gold Bracelet / Gold Watch

I’m on the hunt for a new pair of denim leggings right now! I absolutely adore the ones I’m wearing in this post BUT they cute zipper detail on the back is so uncomfortable in tall boots. I need a more basic pair and I think I have them narrowed down to these few down below… Can anyone offer tips on a pair that you love? I want them super tight and stretchy, just like a legging, especially around the ankles. Oh, and a dark rinse is preferable! Any help?

PS: I know what you’re thinking…they all look EXACTLY the same! H-E-L-P.
