Hello, Monday! Are we all still recovering from daylight savings right now…or is that just me? Ava usually does really well with time changes but today she felt like 6 am was an appropriate time to rise and shine so that was fun. Aside from the sun being out later…I really can’t wrap my mind around this seasonal tradition that really just throws everyone for a loop.

Now that my little bump has graduated to something…not so little anymore, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for shorts with an elastic band that aren’t maternity. Yes – I’m still fighting this. It’s a loosing battle, but one I’m still willing to take on.

Today’s shorts are pretty awesome for a few reasons even aside from the fact that they have a wide elastic band. I also really like how they’re decent in length AND they sit pretty low on my hips. I imagine they would make a great pair of cover up shorts for the beach or pool this summer, too. Insanely comfortable and I, of course, adore the eyelet trim along the hem. I know I’m stating the obvious but black is going to pair so well with pretty much every color under the sun!

I’m also wearing these pretty Tory Burch sandals today, too! Patent cherry was a great way for me to start my little Miller collection and trust me, it didn’t take more than a hot minute to ask my hubs if he felt like picking up the gold pair for me when the mood strikes him just right. #birthdaymonthforthewin
