Black Out

Good Morning!!!  You know what’s great?  Waiting until the last minute to take some outfit pictures and finding out that you don’t like any of them!!  SO FUN!!!  (not.)

So, hopefully today is a little more successful and I have some looks that I pulled together up on the blog tomorrow and maybe play some catch up over the weekend?!  We’ll see…

Here’s my afternoon post for today…just a little bit earlier than I planned!  I think I’ll have time to pull together a different post with an idea I’ve been working on a little bit later…but for now, here’s some pieces that I love for those days when you just want to go all black!

Black pieces, to me, are always the finishing touches to my outfit.  When I’m in a rush or can’t decide on something to wear, I usually reach for something black because I’m so comfortable in that color and I always feel so polished when I’m all ready to go.

Black Leather Jacket:  I’ve only talked about a leather jacket here about a million times and this is yet another one that’s added to my list of “maybes”.  I love the contrasting color on the inside!

Leather Skirt:  This asymmetrical hem is so popular this year and and even more so on leather minis.  I love that added edge and the gold zippers are perfection.

Black Booties:  I’m on the verge of buying some killer black booties…if only I weren’t so indecisive.  These are fairly awesome and are definitely on my radar.

Black Watch:  I have a Michele Watch that Curt gave me for our anniversary a few years ago and because it has interchangeable straps, it’s so versatile for everyday wear.  I’m loving this oversized black one, too.  Black and gold are always a “yes” for me.

Black Studs:  These earrings are simple but one of the little things that will make your outfit come together, especially when you’re playing with a black palette.  It’s the little things, really, that make you stand out.

Black Bracelet:  This bracelet is a little more than I would spend on costume jewelry but, again, I’m so pulled towards this color combo.  I am obsessed with the black leather next to the gold.  I love this piece.

Black Tassel Necklace: I’ve literally worn my J.Crew tassel necklace all summer long.  It’s an instant favorite and I know I will love it for years to come.  This black one is amazing.  I love the chain and leather combined.  LOVE.

Quilted Jacket:  Burberry.  Always a yes.  I have this quilted jacket in red but I think I may be slipping some hints to Santa this year for the black one as well.  Instant classic.

Skater Skirt:  I tell ya what, the skater skirt has been all over the place this past year and for a good reason: the fun and flirty cut of this skirt is sure to flatter just about everyone.

Quilted Crossbody: I have this bag in the basket weave (navy) and absolutely love it so you can imagine how excited I was to see it this fall in black quilted leather.

Flats:  I have these flats and wore them for about 4 years…to death.  A replacement pair is definitely needed.
