Thank you all so much for your sweet comments and well wishes for our family yesterday! Incredible. As if we weren’t excited enough, right?! You guys are just so awesome, thank you for taking moment to share your love and support yesterday. Haha – and I love that a few of you “noticed” the small changes I was making in an effort to mask that little bump that appear a few weeks earlier than in did when I was pregnant with Ava, whoa! We were patiently waiting for the official start of that 2nd trimester and even though it’s not too terribly obvious in this week’s pictures, it sure it coming along a lot faster than it did than when I was pregnant the first time. I think I’m still in that “hmmm, is she or isn’t she?!” phase which making dressing a little bit tricky. I’m ready to “wear the bump” but right now it’s looking more like I usually do after a big meal. Ahh well, all good things, I suppose. Now that I have a babe the “size of a lemon” we’re going to see some drastic changes in the next week. #juuuustkidding
I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s look, too! I didn’t talk too much about it but I love the affordability that vest and while I wore my dress as a “bump debut”, it’s obviously going to be a great option even after baby is here. Simple, clean cut, and classic – just the way I like it.
Today’s skirt is another insanely comfortable piece that I think has may seasons written all over it. Here I am, in January (albeit in the desert, but still…in a more “wintery” style) but I have visions of white tank tops (or other fun colors like….pink! green! yellow!) to wear with in the spring and summer. Black and white stripes? Options. Endless. The knit is high quality, the skirt is lined, and that little bit of rouching along the sides make for a very flattering fit. I’m pretty much obsessed.
Last piece I’m highlighting – the SHOES! I’m loving mules this season and this pair were practically jumping into my arms when I was shopping! Haha – they leather is soft, they’re easy to walk in, and they give an amazing twist to your basic black heel. I love, love, love them.
Have a great Wednesday, everyone! I can assure you we’ll be riding a high on out for the rest of the week after just a joyful day today. I’m so thankful for such awesome followers here at The Northeast Girl. I kind of love you all just a little bit. Thank you, thank you for stopping by, visiting, and engaging. You’re the reason I love writing each and every day!
