Cashmere + Plaid

Hello, Friday!  And a Happy Halloween weekend to you all, too!  I hope the weather holds out for everyone out there who has littles that can’t wait to stock up on loads of candy (…that we ultimately break into during the late night hours, yes?).

Since we’re in San Antonio this week, the base had their trick or treating last night because of the Air Show this weekend and Ava had such a great time!  I mean – how cool is the life of a military child?  The things she can say that she’s already done, seen, and tried all at the young age of 7 is just amazing.  She’s been on more flights, a few international, called many a house a home, and is always ready for something new.  We love this crazy life we live and wouldn’t change a single thing.

Anyway, a little bit of cashmere and some plaid to round out this week of jeans and all things comfortable.  I’m such a big fan of picking up cashmere (when it’s on sale!) because in the winter, my skin is so dang dry that it becomes so prone to eczema flares and just pure irritation so when the price is right, I’ll pick up a new piece here and there to just have and hold forever.  I’ve also become really big on picking up the lightweight cashmere because it’s great for layering and you can wear it all year long!  So soft, friends, so soft.
