Today I’m collaborating with the sweet Allison from Girl Next Score to share our favorite casual looks for fall! Allison has one of the most well-rounded blogs that you definitely want to check out! She talks all her favorites and shares her ideas in style, beauty, health and wellness…and every a little sports guru on the side. How this gal accomplishes so much and attends college classes at the same time will always impress me. Her motivation to pursue anything and everything that inspires her is so refreshing to see and I can’t wait to see what her future holds. Next Erin Andrews, I’m thinking! Take a few minutes to explore her blog and follow along with her on Instagram, too! Pretty talented, right?
I love how we both went straight for the distressed jeans (…and J.Crew!) when it comes to pulling together our favorite casual looks. Girl after my own heart. Get the details for her outfit over at her blog today!
PS : I swear, if I could pull off a cute, short hair cut – I’d probably me taking in a picture of Allison’s ridiculously cute style.
I mentioned earlier that I am on a major denim overhaul right now and constantly trying on new styles, washes, and fits all the time. More often than not, I really need to try jeans on before I buy them because let’s face it, hardly anyone can pull off anything the same way a model does on the website. I mean, of course they look flawless on her – it’s how they sell the product, right?!
Me, well, I’m a sucker for boyfriend jeans. Jeans are my ultimate comfort piece that I wear (outside of Lulu Lemon, naturally) and when I wear them, I want to be comfortable. Skinny, flare, straight, whatever…I want to love my jeans when I wear them. Today’s jeans are just an all around great pair for me because I love the medium wash, the moderately distressed legs, and the overall slightly fitted cut of the legs. They’re not too skinny or too tight. I gave them a cuff at the hem but you can roll or even leave them straight which changes their overall look, if ever so slightly.
Every fall, another quilted vest seems to make it’s way into my closet. So great to adding a little extra warmth and, in this case, color to your outfit. #AllTheRed this time of year, am I right?! Gosh – this color is addicting in the fall. I topped my classic navy gingham shirt and cashmere cable crewneck sweater for a great casual look that you can find me wearing over and over again this time of year. The layering is perfect for the every-changing weather we’re having and the pieces can be worn in so many different ways in my wardrobe most of the year.
I know I’ve raved about these booties in the past but they’re seriously my favorites. The soft leather, the color, the fact that they don’t have a zipper (weird, I know), and how they go with just about everything. Definitely worth the investment – especially if you can find them on sale!
Thanks for checking in today and I hope you’re loving Allison’s blog as much as I do!
