Every time I buy a pair of distressed jeans, I can hear my Grandmother’s voice in my head asking me, “Did you buy your pants like that?”. And every time I would tell her “yes, grandma”, she would always smile and shake her head in disbelief all the while wondering what this world is coming to?! I love her.
I feel like while there’s distressed jeans all over the place now, they’re tough to get right. I’m always looking for the prefect ratio of tears in the denim to fading in the wash. You all know I’ve been seriously obsessed with the Gap right now and when I stopped in there with a friend last week, we already knew I wasn’t going to leave empty handed. These jeans? Are awesome. They are pretty much exactly what a true “boyfriend” jean is meant to be. They’re not super fitted and in fact, I even sized down. They have the right amount of rips and tears and I knew even before I tried them on that they would be coming home with me.
My blouse is another Anthropologie hit and it has all these great details to make it something pretty special. There’s ties that hang down from the collar and pretty detailing along the hem. It also has a tie around the waist so you don’t get lost inside the fabric of the tunic shape. I also adore the slight ruffles it has at the shoulders. All about the details with this piece!
White and denim is going to be my theme this week to prepare you for the upcoming Memorial Day! While I’ve been wearing white pretty much non-stop since last summer, I know a few of you are still waiting for that big weekend to break out your white pants. (Do it, already!) 😉 I will say that there is something so undeniable about white and blue that just means summer is finally here.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Check out my pics below and I’ll see you in a few hours with another post! Have a great Monday!
