Hey, Monday!  I hope everyone is recovering from Super Bowl Sunday nice and easy today!  That is, of course, if you watched the game.  I’m a pretty big football fan (even though my team didn’t make it #NYG) and always get a little bummed after the last game because now we have sit and wait for the season to return in September.  So, it’s time to get my eyes back on the #JourneyToTheTourney and watch the Fighting Irish have a great season!  My alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh, is pretty disappointed in my love for the Irish but I will say, Pitt comes in a close second and they even took a win from ND this past week.  #yesilikesports

But, anyway, back to biz that is this blog!

I love popping into the Forever 21 that we have here in Las Vegas because 9 times out of 10, I walk out with a bag of pretty cute and trendy stuff for not that much money.  What’s to complain about that?!  I generally spend less on the trendy and invest in the pieces that I know my classic and preppy self will be loving no matter what the latest craze is at the moment.  I highly recommend you do the same!  This cute little blouse was a little Free People-ish for me without the price tag that is usually attached to that brand.  Flowy, great for spring and summer, and looks pretty cute with jeans or even some cut-offs when the weather warms up.  (Which, btw the way, is next weekend for us desert folks.  It’s going to be in the 70’s for the weekend and into next week.  I’m pretty excited, actually!)  This little bump is about to rebel against jeans and I’m going to start running out of options.

Speaking of jeans, I shared these last week because over Christmas break, I stumbled across a fab pair of jeans that is just perfect for me and my height.  I know I’m not the tallest girl in the group, but when I buy premium denim I often wonder where all these “legs for days” girls really are out there!  Most them have these crazy inseams and I absolutely despise altering jeans.  So – when I found an ankle pair that only needed a small cuff…or no cuff at all, I didn’t think twice.  The first pair was a dark wash and this same style is the medium wash.  I. Am. In. Love.  Soft, snug, perfect length, perfect wash…should I go on?
