I would be lying if I said this wasn’t one of my favorite posts to share on The Northeast Girl. All hail the yoga clothes, ladies, because I think we’re all big fans of keeping it as laid back as possible every now and again. What’s not to love?! I always feel like I’ve hit the jackpot when I find another line to love that offers chic, well-made, flattering, and affordable clothes that go from the gym, to the grocery store, to car line, and everywhere in between.
When trying on new yoga pieces, there are a few things I look for when I’m trying to decide if it’s a good fit for my lifestyle. One of the biggest sellers for me is whether or not the material is going to keep me covered as I move about throughout the day. There’s nothing worse than wondering if your pants are too sheer and sharing a little more than you’ve intended. Another big factor for me is durability. I want the material to have a whole lot of extra stretch that moves with me with me and doesn’t become stretched out and loose as I wear them. Finally, support! When you’re wearing a form fitting material, I’m sure you’re like me in that you want your body to look smooth. Often times with some other yoga pants I’ve tried in the past, the material doesn’t keep my legs looking smooth and firm, which is obviously essential when wearing such form fitting leggings.
What I’ve found with Gaiam Yoga Apparel from Kohl’s is that when it came to all my requirements for making sure their line was going to work for me, they kind of hit the nail on the head. The material in both the leggings and the tank were plenty thick (maybe the most out of all the yoga apparel in my collection, to be honest) and offered tons of support. The tank has a built-in shelf bra that was comfortable and offered as much coverage as even a regular bra. The leggings were snug, in a good way, not sheer, and stayed put even after a day’s worth of running around. Finally, I know I’ve mentioned this in the past but I seriously love an off-the-shoulder top! This black, long sleeve top acts almost like a cover up that you can toss on after you’ve worked out or even just for a little more coverage during the day. It’s super soft and, well, super cute! Probably my favorite piece in this entire look.
I know I love getting dressed each day but let’s face it, pregnant or not, some days just call for comfort – start to finish. Of course, I want to look like a took a minute to get myself together before I walk out the door and that’s where my love for yoga clothes becomes a part of the picture. Oh – and they’re obviously perfect for the gym, too! Versatile as it comes, I think
Be sure to check out their entire Gaiam line for Kohl’s! They have bright colors, the basics, and even a few pieces of equipment that you could take with you to your next workout. All affordable, quality, and as far as I’m concerned, a staple in my wardrobe!

The Busy Brunette says
I am OBSESSED with yoga clothes – and I don’t necessarily wear them to yoga! (In fact, I haven’t been there in a few weeks… I gotta get back to it.) But, seriously, does it get any more comfortable than outfits like this? They are the best. I actually have some Kohl’s Cash to spend… and guess what I’ll be buying! Your very outfit. Thanks for the inspiration.
