Garnet Sweater + Make-Up and Beauty

Oh, sweet fall, I’m so happy you’re finally here! Vegas is slowly but surely working it’s way down the thermostat and while it’s not quite as “fall like” here as it currently is in the northeast, it’s definitely an improvement from 100* so I will gladly take it. All I need is a little fall foliage in my life and I’ll be as happy as ever!

Cozy sweaters right now are my go-to and I really don’t see an end in sight. This year, sleeveless vests, wraps, and shawls are definitely getting most of my attention. I just love the idea of a luxe knit wrapped around me on a cold day. The thick and chunkier the better. Even though I’m all about the brightest reds lately, this garnet color is also so perfect for the season.

I’ve had some girls ask me recently what kind of products I use for pictures and everyday so I did a quick set down below to share with you what I’m using! Sooo…

Hi! My name is Maureen and I buy (most of…) my make up from Target so I can spend more money on clothes. True story. I also love self tanner because I hate the sun and my favorite for years has been sun laboratories because it’s the most natural looking tanner, it’s easy to apply, and it’s paraben free. I’ve also been using Lorac Tantalizer this past year because it’s almost like a BB Cream for your body. It evens out skin tone and makes your skin look great. It also lasts a few showers even though it doesn’t have the component in a permanent sunless has so it’s commitment free. I’ve gotten a few girls hooked this year and it’s solely because it works so well! I do splurge on my eyeshadow palette because I don’t wear eye make up everyday and this set lasts forever (unless your pre-k daughter gives you pink eye and you have to trash everything…). I swear by Cetaphil because I have a little bit of eczema and keeping my products as sensitive as possible is really important for my skin. Everything else needs no solid explanation and I’m sure as the years go by I’ll have to invest more in my beauty regime but for now, this works for me!
