Happy Father’s Day with Gift Ideas from Nordstrom

I think one of our favorite days out of the year for Ava and I is when we get to come together and think of a great gift idea to give her dad on Father’s Day (June 21st!).  Of course, as you probably already noticed, we love to celebrate how lucky we are to have him in our lives all year long but we also take that one special day in June that’s set aside for all the awesome dads out there to make just one day all about them!

Every year, we try and incorporate two things : something we made and something shiny and new!  I admit that it can be a little tricky shopping for our guy because he often reminds us that he already has everything he needs!  Or – so he thinks…

This year, Ava and I knew we wanted to get him a gift that maybe makes life a little bit easier.  You see, he’s on the go (a lot!) and I started to notice that even when he’s moving all around he always likes to have his iPad in arms reach.  Whether it be for listening to the latest Ted Talk, listening to Pandora, or trying to catch up on the latest episode of Game of Thrones he always pulled that iPad around the house when he was listening and multitasking with other projects.

After a little brainstorming and some browsing around (golf, fitness, and tech were at the top of our list!), it finally came to us and we both decided Curt would probably love a pair of wireless headphones!  The Bluetooth option meant that he could connect a few of his devices to the headphones and he could listen to all his favorites without having to carry the iPad from room to room.  It also means that on the days he wants to listen to that music of his a little louder than normal or blast yet another Ted Talk about working out and tips for the gym, well, that it can be for his ears only…if you know what I mean.

You know – sometimes I even surprise myself with how great my ideas can really be at times…  

Ava and I are absolutely certain that Curt is going to love his gifts this year!  A little homemade love in the card she designed all by herself along with a pair of Bluetooth and Wireless Bose Headphones that he didn’t he know he wanted and I can assure you that it’s going to be tough for her to keep this year’s gift a secret until the big day!
