Ikat for Work and Play

I am loving prints so much lately that it only seems right to keep sharing my favorites, right?!  Little bit of color, little bit of ivory…and all is right in this world.

To make this post a little more fun though, I’m teaming up with what might be one of my favorite bloggers today to share how we would style our new Ikat print pieces from J.Crew.  While we know I adore this dress, I must admit I’m slightly more excited to be sharing my look today with the beautiful Emily from Bows and Depos.  Seeing how we both love the ‘crew and all things preppy and wonderful, this little collaboration only seemed like the right thing to do.  Emily has incredible style and makes everything seem so effortless and gorgeous.  You’d be crazy not to take a minute to visit her blog and, of course, start following along.  I promise you’ll be inspired!

As you can probably gather this fabulous summer print can be either styled a little bit dressy or just a little bit casual.  I love how Emily paired her skirt with a chambray shirt and I swear, SWEAR, I almost wore my light wash denim jacket.  Great minds, right?!  She has my eye completely locked on her cute bow adorned bag and that cute hate just pulled everything together.  She looks adorable, per the usual.
