Open Stitch Sweater + Christmas Eve Prep

Is there anything better than some jeans and sweater? I mean, can you really think of anything you might wear more during the winter than this combo right here? Me either. While I love wearing my favorite leggings as often as possible, they just will never be as warm as jeans. Trust me, I’ve attempted to prove this theory wrong a few times again this year and I froze to the core. Fashion fail at it’s best. Live it, learn it.

Let’s chat about this sweater, shall we? It’s an open stitch sweater which means you need a cami or a layer of some type underneath. I went with the long sleeve white knit tee shirt and I really loved the way it turned out. The white and grey together is just an all time favorite of mine. I’m also wearing what’s turning out to be my favorite jeans this season and the cutest grey booties I ever did see. Man, I love them…

And, what better completes an outfit than the a perfect handbag? I can’t really think of much…

As we come closer and closer to Christmas this year, I can’t help but get excited for the most magical night of the year…Christmas Eve! Even after all these years, I still get as giddy as Ava does around the holidays and I never want them to end! When we were little, my mom and dad used to light those Christmas Luminaries in the bags all around the outside of our house and I remember how excited I felt when we saw them all lit up on our way to midnight mass. What wonderful memories!!! Even though we’re traveling souls now and we hardly ever stay in one places long enough, I hope Ava remembers each holiday with such fond memories like I do now. We do the best we can in the situation we’re in to make sure she’s the happiest girl on earth and so far, I think she’s a pretty blessed kiddo.

Anyway, I’m hoping this week hurries on by if only to get me closer to a few days off and some much overdue time with the ones we love most…
