Oh, how I love ivory lace! So delicate, feminine, and timeless. In fact, one of my most favorite dresses that I have hanging in my closet is a black lace Joie dress that I know I will love for years and years. I think it’s safe to say every girl needs some lace in her closet.
I’m not quite sure where to even start with these beauties but I think my favorite feature is the length. I think when you’re wearing lace shorts it’s really important to make sure they look like they’re meant to be worn in public…and, well, not those other shorts that aren’t supposed to be worn in public…ya know what I mean? For me, I wanted them to be classic and flirty and because of the somewhat looser cut and longer inseam, they’re perfect. These shorts are comfortable and have a soft lining but maintain their shape because of the somewhat structured lace fabric.
I kept the colors soft and basic so nothing would overshadow the pretty detail of the lace and while I’m sure you’re not surprised, I found this great basic cognac clutch that is going to fit in great with so many of my upcoming summer outfits. The leather is rich, buttery, and smells fantastic. It was love at first sight.
Have a great Thursday, everyone!

Because who doesn’t love to mix the soft side of fashion with a touch of edgy, distressed jeans? I think we all know how I feel about my boyfriend jeans and while this blouse could be worn about a hundred different ways, I just happen to love it with something a little less expected. For today, at least…
