Summer Lightweight Tunic

There are so many things that I love about a tunic and I guarantee you will see this particular one quite a few times over the summer because it’s super lightweight and the most perfect shade of blue. While you don’t have to, this shirt was just sheer enough for me to toss a cami underneath. I can also pair this top with so many different colored shorts it will make your head spin. If you pair blue jeans with everything, guess how much you can wear with this blue shirt? See what I did there? Versatile. I think it goes without saying but I seriously had to talk myself out of wearing this top with white jeans. (True Story: I’m a white jeans addict.)

I bought these distressed jeans about 2 years ago and I’ve gotten so much use out of them. I’m pretty short (5’2”) so I tend to like when the “normal” length of jeans gives me the change to cuff them or wear them long with heels. Since I’m wearing my favorite sneakers here I was able to cuff them for a relaxed and casual look. Remember, if you’re wearing a loose fitting top, keep it tailored on the bottom. A safe rule of thumb is: Loose Top = Fitted Bottom, and vice versa.

As you’ve probably gathered, I really love handbags. I’ve been saving and buying them for almost 10 years. Curt gave me this first Louis Vuitton Speedy on our first Christmas as a married couple. It holds a sentimental value to me and I’ve actually been keeping it in the dust bag more often now as I don’t want anything to happen to it. Only true bag lovers would understand the reasoning behind this. While I’ve sold one or two, when I buy a bag, I buy with the intention that it will stay in my closet forever. I plan on giving them to Ava someday and based on her girly ways, I think she’ll love carrying them. I mean, heck, she always packs a purse before we head out the door and she’s only 4! Heavens, I love her.
