If I were to admit that I have somewhat of a “security blanket” when it comes to dressing every day, I think it’s safe to say that mine would be the denim jacket. I really have to talk myself out of it most days, to be honest.
I know I’ve been on a major shorts kick lately but I’m so impressed with all the options I’ve been coming across this season that give denim a break but manage to spruce up your typical chino shorts.
Again, the longer length here was a win for me and while I still jump around somewhere between a 3″ and a 5″ inseam, I really like the overall fit of this pair (which I why I bought them in other colors!).
Do you have a “security blanket” when it comes to pieces in your wardrobe? I also have a major obsession with stripes and dresses…but we knew that.

I love the slightly longer shorts! I am in my early 30s and usually don’t go shorter than a 5″. I’m happy to see you showing that it’s appropriate and still stylish to wear a longer short, even though you could definitely pull off the shorter ones! 😉
My security blanket is probably a swing dress! I just feel so comfortable and confident in them!
