Corduroy + Capes

Happy Half-Way Day! Meaning, are full work weeks not the most never ending kind after a long holiday weekend?! I may need someone to carry me across the finish line by the time Friday rolls on back around. It’s also Report Card week up in here and let me just say, work is b-u-s-y! Phew! It’s a good thing I love those kiddos because there’s only so many things in this world that I’ll allow to leave me working into the wee hours of the morning. Have.Mercy.

But enough about me…and more about this skirt! Tis the season to wear corduroy and luckily, there’s plenty of options to go around! Skirts? Got ’em. Pants? Got ’em. Blazers? Of course! And for those daring souls, they even have shorts out there for the taking. For me? I’m good for 3 out of the last 4.

Even though I posted my first Midi skirt yesterday, I’m still finding myself in Minis more often than not and this navy blue skirt was no exception. I’m dying to pair it with a chambray shirt!!! (Hmmm, maybe next week!) This navy gingham shirt gets it’s fair share of wear in my closet and for good reason, simply because I love it so!

Alright, ladies… I want a cape! Here are a few that I came across and really want to try on. Surprisingly (but, not really…), most of the ones I found so far are EXPENSIVE. Who knew?! Capes are fancy, I guess! I just think they’re so fun for winter and an unexpected way to spice up your outfit, especially if you’re looking to dress up an “every day” look! I’ll let you know when I find “the one”!
