Navy Sneakers

I feel like I’m going back in time when I put on these navy sneakers.  Allow me to reminisce for a moment.  When we were growing up, my mom bought my sisters and I a new pair of Keds every seasons and for every occasion.  We always had a pair of patent Mary Janes and a pair of patent slip on sneakers.  We also always had a pair of canvas Mary Janes and a pair of canvas slip on sneakers.  They were always white and the patent pair were for special outfits and then canvas pair were for running all over the back yard.  I hate to brag but when I look back at pictures of my sisters and I growing up, we were dressed to the nines.  That’s a lie.  We were dressed to the tens.  My sisters and I had the perfect outfit for every occasion and a part of me knows that my love for putting outfits together comes from the way I was raised.  I can see myself doing the same things for Ava that my mom did for us when we little.  Phew, who woulda thought?!

So now that I’m officially a grown up and I have a daughter of my own, I have come back to love the sneaker.  While we all know that a tennis shoe is uber comfortable, wearing them with the blue jeans isn’t the cutest.  Personal opinion, of course.  Here is the answer to all your cute and comfortable shoe prayers: the sneaker.  While I’m wearing the Superga sneakers, made famous in Italy, there are so many options out there to chose from that it’s hard to walk away.  I’ll leave you a list of options down below!  I’m wearing my navy sneakers with cropped jeans, which is my favorite combo, but they equally fabulous with a pair of shoes.  Your feet will thank you when you try this look out.

The rest of my look is quite simple which I think pairs so well with the shoes.  A white tee is a staple in my closet and and I always, always, ALWAYS have a sweater or a jacket on hand.  This, of course, may change as the Vegas summer sets in but I guess only time will tell…  My Louis Vuitton tote pictured is my everyday bag.  If you bumped into me on the street, I’d be carrying this tote along with everything else in the free world inside of it.  I love this big bag and it’s perfect for long days out with Ava.
