New Accessories: Watches and Scarves

One really easy way I like to pull my look together or even make it a little more exciting, is to add an accessory.  It could be a statement piece of jewelry, a hat, or maybe even some sunglasses.  While I’ve been know to use all of the above pretty frequently, I feel like sometimes the easiest accessories I grab are either my scarves or a watch.

True story: I am a borderline scarf hoarder.  Girls.  Scarves are SO EASY!  You can take them on or off, style them 100+ different ways, they come in all possible sizes, shapes and fabrics, and they can pull a look together in just seconds.  I love them in prints, solids, lightweight, knit, cashmere…and the list goes on.  Right now, lightweight scarves in the summer are my all time favorite addition to my outfits.  Of course, in the cooler months, a cute scarf serves both a functional purpose as well as a fashionable one.  They work all year long and make a pretty big statement.

As for watches?  Let me start by saying that watches are so great for me because when I’m working or chasing a 4 year around, bangles and bracelets only last so long.  They usually become too loud or annoying and off they go.  With a watch, because it stays so snug against your arm, they aren’t going to get in the way and in most cases, you won’t even remember it’s there.  So easy to add a little something extra without having to worry about it.  I’m a huge fan of Michael Kors watches and wear my large gold runway and white ceramic ones all the time!

Here are a few fun watches and scarves that are out and available right now!  Does anyone else love adding a scarf to their outfits?  How about a watch?  I’m all about picking up a rose gold watch this fall just to mix it up.  I love my gold jewelry but I’m ready to start collecting rose gold for fall and winter.  It’s a little bit softer and the warm shade will still give me my gold fix, but not be as bright.  I’ll keep my eyes peeled for some pretty rose gold pieces that I can share!
