Northeast Life : An Update

Hey, everyone!

I know it’s been a good while since I made a post and while I pop into Instagram and Snapchat (northeastgirl4) here and there, we’ve mostly been playing some serious catch up ever since we arrived in Pennsylvania.  Our entire family is here (immediate and extended!) and we haven’t seen most of them since Christmas.  Plus, lots of friends to see, too!  So, I kind of pushed life to the side so I could just relax and wear yoga pants every dang day.  (Seriously, true story…).

Long story short – Curt and I bought plane tickets home for the girls and I a few months ago to fly back to PA for our annual summer trip and about a week before we were planning on leaving, I decided that I would DRIVE (yea, I know….nuts!) across the country instead of fly so that we could take a bunch of road trips while we were there.  I also extended our original trip so we could fit more into the summer before we came back home.  Curt’s pretty busy with work so the timing actually worked out perfectly.  And, as you may have seen, he was just back here for the weekend visiting and we loved having him here!

I’m sure many of you still have your jaws on the floor after I mentioned my impromptu epically long road trip but thankfully, my mom came out to make the trip with me and it actually wasn’t too bad!!  I thankfully love road trips and the girls really did great.  This isn’t our first trek across the country so at this point, we’re all rockstars.  I didn’t have much room to pack too many things and because we’ve been so incredibly laid back since we got here, I didn’t have much to share as far as new fun things that I found.

Anyway, we snapped some photos that I’m editing tomorrow and I’ll be back to regular posts as much as possible in the coming weeks!  Thanks for sticking with me!

With it being the 1st day of Summer and the longest day of the year, better believe that I’m already counting down until fall!  Summer heat and I are like apples and oranges.  We just have much in common so I’m one of those girls that gets giddy when it’s cold.  Rumor has it Phoenix doesn’t see much of those temps until LATE fall so I anticipate many trips to Flagstaff over the weekends once September and October roll around.
