Polka Dots + A Perfect Summer Dress

Alright, my sweet readers, I hate to post and run but I’m currently in the midst of about 47 projects and all I really want to do is climb into bed! I actually slept 9 whole, straight hours this past weekend and, honestly, I felt like I could move mountains the next day. Oh well, summer is almost here! (Kind of….)

Today, I’m really excited to share this adorable blouse that is pretty much as versatile as it’s going to get when you’re looking for a top that could be dressed up or dressed down. Obviously I went the “dressed down” route but I was so tempted to wear it with my favorite leather pants or dark skinny jeans and some sky high heels. Hmmm, maybe next time…

This blouse has the look and feel like I should have paid waaaay more and I’m happy to say I bought it on promo and it was worth every penny. I love the little crochet detailing that’s along the front buttons, too! It’s also only slightly sheer but you definitely have to wear a cami underneath. I’m a huge fan of the messy, half tuck and because I wanted to keep my proportions straight, I made sure you could see where my waist was to avoid looking completely overwhelmed by my slightly loose top and jeans.

These cut out booties were an instant favorite so get ready for their many appearances over the coming months!
