Remember when you were little and everyone always asked you to share your favorite color? While I’m pretty sure my default as a little girly girl was always, “pink”, if you were to ask me now my answer would surely be red. There’s certain colors that I always grab within the bunch and, to me, red just never gets old. I like the way it works with my skin tone and there’s something so rich about wearing a piece that is the most perfect shade. While some colors sometimes get assigned a season, like pastels are for spring, I feel like red works all year long. Sure, it has it’s shining moment around December but I never kind of put it away after special occasions.
Here’s how I made red work for summer! Enough of this nonsense about sweaters being for fall and winter, especially when they have a wide stitch, cotton version like this one. It’s so easy to throw this on when the temperatures drop at night without feeling overheated like you would in wool. (Uh, I know Vegas is an oven, I’m headed east soon, so there.)
