Shades of Blue + Fall Fringe

A little bit of lace and whole lot of blue today, girls!

I have to be honest in saying that when I spotted this skirt online, I had a completely different idea of what it was going to be like when it arrived but thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to check it out in person. I was kind of thinking this skirt was going to be a bit more structured but it’s actually quite soft, it moves so nicely, and it’s much more casually than I imagined. It also has an elastic waist band…hello, comfort! I was thinking at first I would pair it with a chambray shirt but once I got my hands on it, I felt like a nice and comfortable tank would be much more appropriate. Innovative, right? A skirt and a tank…man, I think of everything! What on earth would you guys do without me?! Haha – oh well, skirts and tanks are what summer is all about, right?!

Before I sneak off to bed, let’s chat about these gorgeous shoes, shall we? I absolutely love these almost cherry-colored brown leather sandals. It’s such a rich shade and while I have plenty of similarly hued sandals piling up in my closet, this pair just stands out in the crowd. They also come with a velcro strap, which I wasn’t quite sure I was going to love but turns out, the fact that there is no hardware on these beauties is quite nice. It makes for a really clean and polished look, I think.

I have a feeling that fringe is going to have a big moment this fall and winter so I’ve been on the watch for some fun pieces that could easily transition from summer into fall. While this bag might break the bank a little too much for me, it’s a great inspiration piece to help get an idea of something I could find that’s similar, but more affordable.
