Shades of Grey + Weekend Wear

I had one of my best girlfriends over this past weekend while I was working through some outfit posts and pictures for this week and when I showed her this look she said, “Oh, I like it! It’s edgy!”. I know this is a little out of the box for me but I really like it, too! The shades of grey with black and pink just seem to work, I think. Plus, it’s always nice to hop out of that comfort zone a little bit and try something new. I tossed on some flats today but I think booties would have also worked. Booties for life, y’all.

Please, oh, please tell me you’ve found a moto jacket you love! This may be the best purchase of the season for me! Eyes are and have been officially peeled for a cognac jacket to invest in this year but I’ve yet to hit the jackpot with that one.

Friday is finally here and as soon as that 3 o’clock bell rings, I’ll be more than ready to r-e-l-a-x. Which makes me think, who do I need to talk to if I’m fairly certain Monday should be part of the weekend?

The other day when I got home from work, my husband had pulled out the entire contents of a storage closet into the living room and started a massive project without my consent. I could either (a) be excited at how motivated he is to finally make our (temporary) house feel like a home or (b) run upstairs and hide under the covers to pretend he didn’t start something that would never be finished by COB that day. I’ll let you decide what my final decision was that night but just know that said closet is still (3 days later…) spilled out all over our floor. The moral of this story is that no matter what day of the week it is or what time of day it might be, please don’t come at with major decision making problems until I am comfortable in pj’s and there’s a big meal in my belly. I can’t make any promises about my behavior until that happens.

Doesn’t everyone feel this strongly about comfortable clothes during your down time?! I just love to run around town in leggings and big sweaters with boots during the weekend and I love wearing my fleece “Santa” pants when I’m relaxing in my house at night. Ladies, I know I’m not alone…

So while this outfit below looks like it comes up on my blog here in various forms time and time again, just know that it’s because I love it that much. Comfortable clothes give me a clear mind.
