Signature Holiday Look with Nordstrom

Even though I’m always on the lookout for new and inspiring ideas when it comes to my wardrobe, I can’t deny that I will always have a signature look. I would said that I’m pretty classic, preppy, and love wearing pieces that are more timeless than trendy.

When it comes to dressing for the holidays, more often than not you’re going to find me in red. While I surely love this color all year long, there’s something about wearing it around Christmas that really gets me in the festive spirit. I strive to be comfortable, yet polished. So many of my favorite things that are hanging in my closet right now are things that I couldn’t bare to get rid of because I bought them with the intention of loving them for years. It might be hard to convince others that clothes are in investment, but I highly disagree. I’ll even go as far as saying that I hope my daughter enjoys many of these pieces one day.

For so many years, I’ve been pretty true to the drugstore beauty supplies but lately, I’ve been taking more time to find products that are right for my skin tone and complexion through the help of beauty consultants that are trained to help you find the right look. I kind of wonder why I’ve waited so long to do this! While it might dip a little bit deeper into my wallet, I take comfort in the fact that I can feel a little more confident in how my face looks when I step outside into that natural light. It really makes such a huge difference. Here are a few products that I’ve already purchased and a few that are on my list of things to try.

Just like my look above, my make-up around the holidays is very true to me. I generally don’t wear too much and really like to enhance my natural features. Of course, changing the shadows around each day (LOVE the naked palette!) and wearing that red polish is one of my favorites in December!
