Spring Green

When I first saw this “Circle Skirt” on the Banana Republic website, I immediately thought of about hundred different reasons on why it should be hanging in my closet. While this impulsive thought is nothing new, I took to the reviews section for the skirt which is usually make or break for me when I’m looking to buy something I haven’t tried on yet. The major consensus among buyers is that this skirt is “puffy” or “too poofy”. While I’m not trying to look like a lamp shade, I happen to like a full skirt but to save myself the hassle of waiting only to return, I took to the store to try it on.

The verdict for me was: I am in love. I think, personally, it has the perfect amount of “puffiness” to it. It sits snug at your natural waist and then bells out in shape from there down. The pleats along the waist band are what gives the skirt the extra puff that I just so happen to love. I still ended up ordering online because there was a promotion there that wasn’t going on in stores. Blah. Thankfully, it was worth the wait. I love this skirt. LOVE!

I paired it with my favorite grey tee and some sky high sandals. The beauty of this skirt is that it 110% can be dressed way up or easily scaled back to a very casual look. Just toss on some flats or sandals and you’re good to go! It’s also a very lightweight material which is a match made in Las Vegas heaven. I’ll take 2 please! (Duh.)
