Stripes and Peplum

I’m a repeat offender! Last week, I posted a striped peplum top from Anthropologie that I loved so much, it didn’t even bother me when I came across this navy peplum at Madewell this past weekend even though they’re fairly similar. It’s a thick ponte knit and and I love the heavier, more durable fabric because it lies so nicely. I posted on my Instagram last week that I was head over heels, haha, for these striped shoes and they did not disappoint! J.Crew has been crushing it lately with their sales and promos and I haven’t been letting them slip by. These beauties are going to transition into fall beautifully and I already have outfit ideas popping up in my head. Dear fall, please hurry!

I originally planned on wearing a dark wash denim here but honestly, I really liked the bright white instead. I guess either would have been great but when it came down to it, white is a summer favorite and I went with it. I’ve been using this Kate Spade clutch a lot lately because I feel like it works so well with pretty much everything I wear in the summer time. It’s a great match with the shimmery gold and basket weave. I also love gold jewelry in the summer…and all year, really, so it all came together so nicely!

Have a great Wednesday! I have plans tonight with some girlfriends that are all oldies but certainly goodies! We obviously don’t see each other much as life surely gets in the way, so it’s really nice when we have the opportunity to get together for some catching up time. I suspect a lot of laughter tonight and I really can’t wait!
