I won’t lie, buying a sweater in the midst of a Las Vegas spring and right on the verge of scorching hot summer isn’t the smartest thing I’ve ever done. However, there’s something about cashmere that gives me the special permission I’m looking for when trying to justify such a purchase so far away from fall and winter. I feel like because cashmere is a very breathable knit, I can still bring it along with me for the days when it’s still a bit cool in the shade and for when temperatures still drop enough at night. This one even has three-quarter length sleeves! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I wore this sweater with a grey vintage tee underneath and my favorite jean shorts, ever. Because I’m only 5’2”, on a good day, I’ve become quite comfortable with heels. I’m in love with these espadrilles because they’re very comfortable and they’re casual enough with their canvas material and classic weave sole to wear with just about anything. Versatility is key, friends. At least this is what I told my husband when he asked my why I needed TWO colors. And, wait for it, they now have it in chambray. Whew, I may need those as well.
Is it warm enough for you to break out your favorite pair of shorts? I can promise you that these jean shorts are going to be borderline famous on this here blog. I almost bought a back up pair before summer was over last year…ya know…kind of like you buy a “back up” blanket for your toddler so even when it’s in the wash, you have a clean one ready to go? Judge away, but these shorts are perfection and while I didn’t buy a spare pair, I sure wish I had.
Here’s a few pictures of one of my new favorite spring sweaters! Outfit details at the bottom of the post!
