Transitioning to Spring

We are finally so close to March and I’m officially in transition mode out here in the LV. I’m completely in “warm weather” mode and for the first time since October, I honestly think I could have worn shorts this past weekend and been completely comfortable. I know I’ve said this before but this pure bred northeast girl will most likely never be able fully understand how this is possible. I mean, all I know is cold and snowstorms that continue well into March! Either way, I’m ready to store the cold weather gear and refresh all those spring and summer essentials.

Today, I’m sharing a few pieces I always seem to gravitate to when it’s still a little on the cool side…but working it’s way to warmer and sunny days. You know, cool in the morning and evening, but warm and toasty in the middle of the day? Weather with a side of mood swings, if you will…

First off, I love a crewneck cashmere sweater. So soft, so versatile, and easily worn all year round. I’ve tossed button down shirts underneath with it’s cold and worn with shorts when it’s warm. I love the classic appeal a crewneck sweater has to offer and I’m always looking for new and fun colors to add into my closet. This neutral, however, is definitely one of my favorites. This goes without saying but light wash denim and soft shades of tan and brown are a personal favorite of mine.

I admired these little wedges all last year and as soon as they became available this season, I knew I couldn’t pass on them again. They’re just the right height and just the right color to match all of my current basics that I can’t believe it took me this long to grab a pair. Adore them.
