Wide Leg Sailor Pants + This, That

Good morning, all!

First off, I am in the midst of writing a fun skincare post for you all and I wanted it to be ready bright and early today but my attempts at making a video are creating a few setbacks.  Hopefully tomorrow!!!!

In the meantime, I have a few fun looks to share this week and even snapped a few photos from my closet to add in at the bottom of each post, too.  I’m a little behind on sharing new ideas so I’m tacking them on at the bottom in hopes of playing a little catch up.

All is well here in Phoenix and we’re really, really loving it out there.  I would be lying if I said I wasn’t getting a tad nervous about the upcoming summer heat…but right now, it’s been glorious!

Today’s look is a little out of my comfort zone but I’ve been really wanting to try a pair of cropped, wide leg pants.  I think with the right pieces, they can be really flattering and fun to wear!  I’m wearing a beautiful ivory linen pair and I love, love them for spring.  While I chose a soft cashmere cardigan, I had a really hard time not grabbing my favorite striped tee.  I just wear it so much I knew I needed to try something else!  BUT, I will definitely be wearing that combo in the future.

While these pants can be a tricky style to work with, I felt that if I kept things fitted on top and didn’t manage to cut off my ankle with any type of straps (and grab a high heel!), I think I made them work well on my short frame.

So, I didn’t really like the way these red sandals turned out and was going to re-take these photos next week but….this great sweater (perfect for spring AND summer if you’re not anywhere too hot!) is on promo so I snapped a few photos in my room to grab a couple more shots.  I’m wearing an XS!  It’s a summer knit and great for just tossing on a layer!
