There’s something about pairing these two colors together that always makes me feel like I’m paying some sort of homage to my husband when I wear them. Perhaps it’s because every single day of the week he wears these exact same colors to work in his trusty green flight suit with a tan colored tee? Huh, maybe the mastermind behind the military uniform is on to something… 😉
I have these broken-in pants from Gap in a variety of colors and for one simple reason: They’re awesome. They are the pants that you wear when it’s time to give your overused and abused jeans a break for the day but still want to look a little more polished than you would in say your favorite pair of yoga pants. I will even go as far as saying that lately, I wear these pants more often than I do jeans. True story. And, if you’re still jonesing for a little denim in your life, then toss on your jean jacket!
I love these pants because they have a slightly overall loose fit with a flattering leg that tapers at the ankle. You can roll them once, twice, or even wear them straight if you’d like. I wore them both with one cuff and two in my pictures to give you a good idea of what they might look like each way. I tend to change it up and depending on what I’m wearing on my feet generally helps me decide where I want the length of my pant to fall. These pants are definitely worth a try on if you’re looking for a way to mix a chino-type pant into your rotation. Up until these pants entered my life, I loathed a “kahki” pant. They make me think of a bad school uniform gone even more wrong. But, I tried these on in the store on a whim and walked out with my hands full. Hey, when you love ’em, you love ’em. Remember that Gap usually has some type of a promotion going on so if you’re in the market to buy, wait for that coupon code to come rolling through your in box. Never pay full price, ladies, so you can push that shopping budget as far as you can. I also paired my pants with a tan sweater I bought last year from Piperlime. It’s a crochet knit which I think is perfect for transitioning from winter to spring.

The first two images show the pants with a large single cuff and the third image shows the pant with two cuffs. Note: I probably should have made sure you could get a better look at the pants without my bag hanging in the way trying to steal the show! If you click on the image you should be able to enlarge it so you can see a little bit better… But, no worries, as these pants in another hue will be making their debut on my blog next week! In the meantime, Gap is running a promo online right now for 30% off your purchase, including sale items, with the code “GAPSTYLE” typed into the promo box at check out. Seeing how discounts higher than 30% off from any company happen as often as never, now would be a good time to make these pants a part of your inventory! If you’re feeling motivated, I always run into the store to try on the things I’d like to buy and then head home to make my purchase online. Clearly I have some free time on my hands but it also ensures that I won’t have to make returns or exchanges in the future. Food for thought…
It’s Wednesday, so you’re almost there!!! Friday will always be waiting patiently for you, promise. My bathing suit post is up tomorrow so stay tuned!!!
